Dr. Attavanich's recent research efforts have largely involved policy analysis (mainly in climate change, agriculture, land use, energy, transportation, and environment). He received an outstanding award for research & innovation in the field of social science and humanities from Kasetsart University in 2014.

Dr. Buzby's food safety research included estimating the costs of foodborne illness, analyzing the legal incentives for firms to produce safer food, and exploring international trade and food safety issues. Her food consumption research was primarily centered on using information gleaned from the Food Availability (Per Capita) Data System. She has also conducted research on food loss in the United States for over a decade.

Mr. Jeff Chen works in the non-profit organization―the Red Cross Society, Taichung City Branch since 2006. Mr. Chen established the first “supermarket-style” foodbank in Taichung in 2013. It becomes an example and be imitated by other cities and counties. Furthermore, he initiated the Association of Taiwan Foodbanks (ATF) in 2016. There are 46 foodbank members throughout Taiwan nowadays.
