BACKGROUND
Building on the APEC multi-year project M SCE 02 2013A “Strengthening Public-Private Partnership to Reduce Food Losses in the Supply Chain”, this high-level policy dialogue (HLPD) aims to:
l Highlight the roles of public and private sectors in partnership by showcasing the main activities and their achievements on food losses and waste (FLW) reduction from member economies;
l Strengthen collaboration and build alliances to move forward with technological R&D and social innovative solutions on FLW reduction in the APEC region;
l Promote regional cooperation in capacity building and infrastructure investment to improve efficiency of the food system for food security and inclusive growth.
