Problem: Wasted egg parts and loss of unsold eggs
Solution: Diversify eggs products, redirect egg parts to value-added production

1. Alkalized egg can be produced from unsold stock and kept due to longer shelf-life. Process involves soaking eggs in alkaline solution (sodium hydroxide), mechanical brushing of egg surface, and drying at low temperature.
2. Eggs broke during conveyor transport in processing can be repurposed for animal feed or fertilizer. Loss rate in processing is about 2%.
